Succession Plan Impacts Marketing Plan
The founder of a financial advisor firm was planning for the next phase of his business. He recognized that his business could close when he retires or it could live on for years.
While many are ok simply closing the doors, he saw where that didn't align with his values, particularly with respect to his clients. Sure they would find other firms but how would that impact them personally? If his mission is to prepare his clients financially for their future, should his retirement plan really mean they need to change their plans?
Absolutely not. This means he needed add to his team to build a plan to support his clients for generations. Sounds ideal, but there was a catch. He was so good at what he did his business was built on referrals. What happens when he isn't there to drive those referrals? What happens to his next generation of leaders if they aren't prepared to build their client pipelines?
With that in mind we had to rethink and retool the plan for their firm to have continuity. Not just of client support but also the business pipeline.
Here is a short video about that process.
